Making me madder

I posted on stylemepretty yesterday about a vendor(Greenworks by Shane) that was feature who hasn't given me great service(see post below). They didn't add my comments. I am disappointed. Mad. While I understand you have the right to edit shouldn't there be a place that your readers can inform others about the problems they have with vendors? While I love this site I just probably will go and boycott. Let me just stew in my juices for a while. Pissed, I am.

Birthday Giftbasket by Greenworks by Shane

This was the gift basket I was to receive for my birthday. I was excited.

This was the description of the basket.

Today while going through the stroll I like to call blog watching I came across a very curious posting. On my favorite wedding blog stylemepretty ( I Love, Love , Love them. they are not to blame) I found a wonderful photo shoot [sensational still lifes from...] with the most gorgeous flower arrangements. Literally they are such fabulous works of art, pure craftsmanship. Well, would you believe these are the same florists who can't even bother to correct a gift basket that was sent to me by my son for my birthday.

The florists are Greenworks By Shane. My birthday was January 28. I still consider myself a very unhappy customer. Seeing this post brought back all the angry feelings of a dissatisfied customer and has reminded me that I'm not finished with this experience of bad service.

Let me recap what happened.

1. Son placed an order for a gift basket on line with Greenworks by Shane to be delivered on January 28.

2. The basket was not delivered on the 28.

3. I called son to inform him no delivery arrive but could understand because we had just experience a bad snow storm. No call from the florist to inform the buyer that the delivery would be late.

4. Basket arrived the next day about mid day. Son had called to find out what happened. Informed that it would be delivered.

Now at this point I'm happy to get something from my son but upon opening the basket I get curious about the cost(as every mother does when her offspring are out on their own). There are products in the basket that are actually from a dollar store.

5. I call son to ask how much he paid for my gift which was uncomfortable and told him what I got. He is not pleased.

6. He calls the vendor to register the first complaint. they want to discount him 15%.

7. I email the vendor and it takes three emails before there is a response.

8. Not satisfied with the resolution to the complaint I email again. As my son also calls again. No further response. This has gone on for several weeks.

9. I had resigned myself that I was going to escalated this matter by filing a complaint to the BBB and local agencies. Also whoever else would listen. Now since this posting on one of my favorite blogs I have to go back to my pursuit of customer satisfaction.

10. As of this date there has been no adjustment to the bill. There has been no new basket or substitution. Beautiful work but I guess if you are not a big customer you don't get any service.

Now I'm not just going to complain I'm going to show you pictures. How I wanted to resolve this was either a new basket or substitution or a full refund. I even suggested that I could come into the store and pick up the basket if it was difficult to deliver. They gave me this story that they had to give this order to a more local florist who was the vendor that gave me such an inferior basket. The order was placed with them so I feel that they should correct this since they are the ones who got the money. Greenworks has several locations in the area and the furthest is 24 miles away from my address. How is that difficult especially if you have an unhappy customer.

Why am I suppose to pay for this?

The purchase was approximately $90. A 15% compensation adjustment just covered the delivery cost. In the basket was cheese spread instead of gourmet cheese, peanuts which I thought was so unbelievable due to the salmonella scare at the time, fruit from the local grocery. No sausages, or olives just products from a dollar store(I went to a dollar store just to verify) How do 6 dollar store packaged items, 12 pieces of grocery store fruit , a basket with no handle
equate a charge of $90? I have kept the packaged products. The fruit I gave to the birds and squirrels. I'm thinking of delivering them to the store. But I will first send them a snail mail package with pictures and such and then follow through with registering my complaint with the authorities. Wish me luck. Its sad because they could have had a wedding customer. I'm helping my future sister in law with her wedding and she doesn't have a florist. I guess they don't need the business so they can afford to have an unhappy customer.

This is the basket I received.

This is the cheese spread that I received.

Red Shoes

I need some red shoes. It's time to get the feet moving again. Besides you always need to have at least one pair in your wardrobe. Actually every pair in this photograh would be a welcome addition in my closet.
